Star Wars Tales #23 represents the twenty-third installment in the comic book series titled Star Wars Tales. Dark Horse Comics released it to the public on May 11, 2005.
The Star Wars Tales series carries on with this "new" issue! Millennia prior to Anakin Skywalker's downfall and eventual salvation, other Jedi faced similar human feelings that ultimately consumed the man who became Darth Vader. Specifically, during the era of the Old Republic, three young Jedi—one of whom carries the Qel-Droma name—ventured to the Sith's planet of Korriban with the intention of concluding their Order's "Great Hunt." However, the true danger lies within their own hearts, proving to be more perilous than any quarry they seek, in this prequel story that ties into the well-known Knights of the Old Republic video game. Included in this issue is also the poignant third part of the saga of the solitary Jedi, Darca Nyl. This comic is both refined and approachable, showcasing Star Wars comics at their finest!
