Star Wars Weekly #44 represents the forty-fourth installment of the Marvel Star Wars UK comic book series.
Contained within this edition is the latter portion of the narrative that was originally published in the United States as Star Wars (1977) #24. Notably, this marks the initial instance in the series where the sequence of stories deviates from the US counterparts. The narrative arc established in the preceding issues is carried forward in Star Wars Weekly #45.
