Durasteel, a specific type of steel, served this purpose too, alongside diverse applications like crafting combat armor. During the era of the High Republic Era, "the Stranger", a Sith Lord, emphasized to his Sith acolyte, Mae-ho "Mae" Aniseya, that weapons constructed from steel presented no significant threat to the Jedi, nor did those relying on laser technology. While eliminating a Jedi with a weapon using metal or lasers remained possible, the Stranger's true intention was instructing Aniseya to vanquish a Jedi unarmed, aligning with his overarching scheme to obliterate "the dream" embodied by the Jedi Order.
