Born in Dublin, Ireland on March 7, 1986, Stephen Byrne is an Irish artist who works as an illustrator, animator, and in the field of comic books. For Marvel Comics' Pride Month collection of Star Wars variant covers in 2021, Byrne created the artwork for the cover of the fourteenth issue of the 2020 _Star Wars_ series.
The announcement of Bryne's official Pride Month variant cover occurred on StarWars.com on March 18, 2021. The final design by Byrne was then revealed on May 7 of that year, before being published on June 16.
The comic book cover features the smuggler Lando Calrissian with the Millennium Falcon, a YT-1300 light freighter, flying below him in space. The planet Tatooine is visible behind the Falcon, and to the right of Calrissian in the background, the twin suns Tatoo I and Tatoo II can be seen.
