The Stone Needle Skyhopper Garage, a compact hangar, was situated within the Mos Espa Waystation combat zone of the Grand Arena. It served as a base of operations for the Hunters of the Outer Rim on the planet Vespaara. This circular, open-air structure could be accessed from the battlefield's upper level, located directly across the central elevated walkway from the Blue Bantha Refreshments milk bar. The garage was designed to accommodate precisely two skyhoppers, while also providing sufficient space for storing replacement components and housing the necessary control panels.
Sometime around 9 ABY, the garage was observed to be filled with various spacecraft components and discarded materials. A collection of droids was also present, including a GNK-series power droid, a DUM-series pit droid, and an R4-series astromech droid. Additionally, a T-16 skyhopper, seemingly a recreation of the one formerly owned by Luke Skywalker, was found within. The name of the garage referenced the Stone Needle, a well-known rock formation in Beggar's Canyon on Tatooine. The garage's signage was straightforward, displaying the Aurebesh characters for "Stone Needle Skyhopper Garage" in white against an orange backdrop.
The Stone Needle Skyhopper Garage made its initial appearance in the competitive video game Star Wars: Hunters. Its introduction to the game coincided with the addition of the Mos Espa Waystation map in version 0.16.0, which was launched on March 7, 2023.
