Suluk

Suluk comprised a collection of altered Beta-class ETR-3 Escort Transports, stationed at the Imperial research facility known as Obsidian as an element of the TIE Experimental Project.

The Rebel Alliance's initial documented interaction with Suluk occurred when two A-wings, while shepherding a staff transfer through the Belat system, picked up a distress signal from Calico within a neighboring convoy. Upon investigating the distress signal, the A-wings discovered the convoy was being assaulted by TIE Bizarros, with the escort transports of Suluk positioned on the outskirts of the battle area.

During a later operation, Rebel Z-95s crippled one of the Suluk vessels, which was then transported to the Mon Calamari cruiser Liberty for examination.

Analysis revealed that the transports' life support systems were designed to "malfunction" upon the craft being disabled, resulting in the death of all occupants, presumably to safeguard the Suluk's purpose. Despite this, subsequent investigation uncovered that these ships served as control platforms, enabling Human pilots to remotely operate the experimental TIE fighters.

Notably, ships belonging to this unit were conspicuously missing during the assault on Bretie Facility, even though prototype TIEs defended the installation.

Nevertheless, they reappeared during the ambush of the Liberty and the climactic confrontation at Obsidian station. The surviving Suluk ships were obliterated along with the research station during the Rebel offensive that concluded the project.
