The star system in the Unknown Regions known as the Sunrise system encompassed the original homeworld of a certain species. This species was governed by a leader, an individual known by the title of Magys. The world itself was given the name "Sunrise" by Mitth'raw'nuruodo, also known as "Thrawn", a Senior Captain within the Chiss Ascendancy. Due to the presence of the species' deceased, entering the system proved challenging, as evidenced by the struggles faced by both the Kilji picket cruiser called Hammer and the Chiss heavy cruiser named Springhawk.
