The Svekk system existed as a component of Wild Space.
This system was situated within one of the outer regions of that frontier area. Within the system, there were at least five planets, with Bormter, the original homeworld of the reptiloid sentients called Bormterrans, located in the fifth orbital position.
Not long after the death of Galactic Emperor Palpatine during the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, Imperial Moff Delurin proclaimed himself to be the Warlord of Wild Space. He then utilized the prototype _Dragon_-class Heavy Cruiser Galaxy Dragon to subdue Bormter. Following this, Delurin established a base of power on the planet, from which he governed an empire he had carved out within Wild Space.
The Svekk system initially appeared in "The Galaxy Dragon and crew," an article authored by Bill Slavicsek. It served as a supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games and was featured in the 200th issue of Dragon Magazine in December 1993. Given that the article was not released through the official Lucas Licensing channels, its canonicity within the Star Wars Legends continuity was never formally verified.
The reference book The Essential Atlas, published in 2009, situated a "Bormter system" within grid square H-14. As Jason Fry, a co-author of the Atlas, clarified that the inclusion of star systems in the Appendix section of the Atlas was not intended to introduce new system names or override previously established continuity, this article tentatively considers the "Bormter system" to be synonymous with the Svekk system.
