Captain Sysco was a male officer serving in the Imperial Starfleet. During 5 ABY, he was stationed aboard the Super Star Destroyer Vengeance, which served as the personal flagship for the Dark Jedi Jerec. He witnessed the Dark Jedi followers of Jerec capture a group of rebels under the command of the Jedi Qu Rahn, and then execute them. Shortly after this event, Jerec instructed Sysco to navigate the Vengeance towards the moon of Sulon.
Sysco, a male officer within the Galactic Empire's starfleet, held the rank of captain by 5 ABY. He was assigned to the Super Star Destroyer Vengeance, a dreadnought that functioned as the personal flagship of the Imperial Dark Jedi Jerec.
In that year, the Vengeance intercepted a CR90 corvette attempting to escape above the planet of Dorlo. Jedi Master Qu Rahn led the corvette's crew, who were then apprehended by the Dark Jedi Boc Aseca and brought before Sysco on the Star Destroyer's bridge. After a subordinate informed the prisoners about the ship's protocol, Sysco told Jerec that they were ready for interrogation. Jerec approached them, demanding information on the location of the legendary Valley of the Jedi. When the prisoners refused to cooperate, all except Rahn were executed by one of Jerec's Dark Jedi followers. Jerec then used the Force to drain the information he needed from Rahn, leaving the Jedi alive.
As a final act of defiance, Rahn used telekinesis to seize the lightsaber of the Dark Jedi Yun. After Rahn injured Aseca by severing one of his tendons, Sysco drew his blaster and attempted to shoot Rahn, but Jerec stopped him, wanting his followers to gain experience. Sysco holstered his weapon, only for Rahn to sever Maw at the waist. Jerec himself ended Rahn's rampage by beheading the Jedi Master. As the crew watched, Jerec instructed Sysco to dispose of the bodies, set a course for the moon of Sulon, and prepare a special dinner. Sysco agreed, but first went to his quarters, carefully stepping over Maw's severed legs, to retrieve a bottle of Bonadan booze from the bottom drawer of his desk.
When Qu Rahn attacked Jerec's Dark Jedi, Sysco frowned upon the Jedi's actions and attempted to defend the injured Boc Aseca. After Jerec intervened, stating that his Dark Jedi needed the practice, Sysco wondered if Aseca shared the same sentiment. Nevertheless, Sysco obediently lowered his weapon. After Jerec left the bridge, Sysco briefly disregarded his master's orders to grab a bottle of alcohol.
Captain Sysco was a character created for the 1998 novella Dark Forces: Rebel Agent, authored by William C. Dietz. Sysco appeared in the novella's second chapter, serving as Jerec's captain.
