This lightsaber, featuring a yellow blade, was constructed by the Dark Jedi known as Yun. The weapon incorporated what was referred to as a "modified pistol grip," which meant that carefully designed contours mirrored the shape of a Human hand, providing a resting place for the index finger. Furthermore, the grip was crafted from a highly adaptable "live" polymer that sensed the user's hand and transformed into a firm, uniquely personalized grip.
Rahn makes his last stand with Yun's lightsaber
After its arrival on Jerec's capital ship, the Vengeance, Qu Rahn commandeered the weapon and briefly wielded it in self-defense against Jerec's Dark Jedi, only succeeding in cleaving Maw in two before Jerec subdued him. During his duel with Kyle Katarn, Yun utilized the lightsaber, taking it with him as he fled from the Jedi hopeful. Subsequently, when Sariss attempted to assassinate Katarn following his crash landing on Ruusan, Yun intervened with the lightsaber, preventing her action and ultimately leading to his death. Following this, Kyle Katarn employed it to battle and eliminate Sariss, Boc Aseca, and Jerec. Moreover, he used it in the time leading up to, and during, his descent into the dark side.

After his close encounter with the Force's dark side, Katarn abandoned the use of this lightsaber and instead proceeded to construct his own lightsaber.
