T1-N1, a T1-series utility droid, served Czerka executive Jana Lorso at the Czerka Corporation's Citadel Station branch in 3951 BBY.
The Czerka Corporation utilized T1-N1, a T1-series utility droid, to oversee the upkeep and security of the Citadel branch's closed circuit mainframe. To achieve this, T1-N1 was outfitted with several unauthorized modifications, notably a blaster built into his frame. When B-4D4-GE3, Lorso's personal assistant droid, underwent reprogramming to pilfer incriminating evidence about Lorso from the mainframe for delivery to the Telosian government, T1-N1 grew suspicious quickly. B-4D4, to stop T1-N1 from exposing him, revealed that he had disabled his behavioral inhibitors long ago by knowingly permitting Lorso, his owner, to inflict harm on sentient beings, and that Opo Chano routinely performed memory wipes on him to prevent him from becoming aware of this fact and going haywire. Following this revelation, T1-N1 burst out of the mainframe in a frenzy, firing randomly at any Czerka employees impeding his escape.
Later on, both he and B-4D4 managed to flee the corporation, sneaking onto a shuttle headed for Nar Shaddaa, the only transport they could locate where they could conceal themselves as cargo.
While many utility droids were known for developing unique personality quirks, T1-N1 displayed both aggression and instability. Furthermore, he was afflicted with a "small-man" complex, leading him to exhibit hostility towards any sentient being taller than himself, which was generally everyone.
In content that was removed, if the player created the right conditions for B-4D4 to escape Czerka, he and T1-N1 were intended to arrive on Nar Shaddaa and secure employment in Vogga the Hutt's warehouse. The pair replaced C7-E3-GE3, guarding the door to Vogga's transponder codes, and after T3-M4 made a remark about his height, he went berserk and was destroyed in the resulting conflict.
Despite the differences in their form and function compared to T1-LB, these two droids that existed at the same time share a very similar designation.
