Tal'dira
Tal'dira was a Twi'lek warrior of male persuasion, and a member of Ryloth's defense forces. Later in his life, he chose to bring his entire squadron to fight alongside Wedge Antilles during the Bacta War against Ysanne Isard. Following this conflict, he enlisted in the renowned Rogue Squadron and participated in the Hunt for Zsinj. Sometime after this, he was captured by Warlord Zsinj's agents and subjected to brainwashing, with the intention of making him kill Antilles upon hearing a specific signal. He was activated just before the Battle of Jussafet Four, where, to preserve his honor, he chose to end his own life.
Biography
In the year 7 ABY, Tal'dira, a male Twi'lek, commanded a squadron of specially modified TIE Fighters known as Chir'daki. Tal'dira, along with five of his pilots, encountered Rogue Squadron at the Kala'uun Starport on Ryloth while they were attempting to acquire ryll kor. They discovered that Koh'shak, the starport master, had concealed the Rogues' arrival in order to take advantage of their need for ryll. Initially, Tal'dira challenged Commander Wedge Antilles, the Rogue Leader, to a duel. However, he then revealed that his true target was the starport master, whom he shamed for his greed. As a gesture of respect between warriors, he offered Antilles the ryll as a gift.
Later, he, along with eleven other Twi'lek pilots, joined Antilles's Rogues in the Bacta War against Ysanne Isard. After successfully liberating the planet of Thyferra from Isard's control, the Rogues were welcomed back into the New Republic Armed Forces. Because Nawara Ven had sustained injuries that prevented him from continuing as a pilot, Tal'dira was offered a position with the Rogues.
Subsequently, the Rogues were assigned to General Han Solo's fleet, with the mission to hunt down Warlord Zsinj. Stationed on the Mon Calamari MC80B Star Cruiser named Mon Remonda, the Rogues participated in numerous battles, often fighting alongside Antilles's new Wraith Squadron. During this campaign, Tal'dira became one of the many victims of Zsinj's brainwashing experiment, and he was programmed to kill Antilles upon hearing the trigger phrase "Wedge Antilles hops on one transparisteel leg." Corran Horn, a fellow Rogue, was forced to shoot him down. However, before Horn could do so, Tal'dira was affected by comments regarding the dishonorable nature of his planned attack on Antilles. He diverted all power from his forward shields as Horn approached, effectively taking his own life through suicide.
