Talan Joben, a male Corellian entrepreneur, resided on Corellia throughout the Galactic Civil War. Following the Battle of Yavin, Joben held ownership of the Joben Crate Company, a manufacturing business specializing in crates and situated close to Coronet. In the year 1 ABY, his company became the target of an assault by Riyan Kiner, a retired adventurer. This deranged individual, with an inexplicable hatred for crates, also placed explosive devices within Joben-branded crates, strategically positioning them near hotels across numerous planets in the galaxy. Ultimately, a spacer, while investigating the attack on the Joben Crate Company on behalf of Corellia Times reporter Vani Korr, uncovered the conspiracy. Subsequently, the spacer successfully deactivated the bombs, preventing any potential harm to individuals.
Talan Joben made an appearance as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This massively multiplayer online roleplaying game was created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts, before its servers were shut down on December 15, 2011. Joben's inclusion in the game occurred with the "Chapter 10: The Search for the Meatlump King" update, which was released on June 19, 2008.
