Joben Crate Company

The Joben Crate Company, owned by Talan Joben, was a manufacturing business that produced crates. Its location was near Coronet on Corellia.

History

The crate manufacturing site after the attack

By the time that the Battle of Yavin occurred, the crates made by the Joben Crate Company were being sold all over the galaxy.

In the year 1 ABY, the company's facilities suffered an attack, resulting in the destruction of a large number of crates and the machines used to manufacture them. A spacer conducted an investigation into the incident for Vani Korr, a reporter working for the Corellia Times, in order to determine if the Meatlumps, known for their hatred of machines, were responsible. The spacer discovered a datapad amidst the wreckage of the machines. The datapad contained a message revealing that bombs had been planted inside Joben-brand crates and strategically placed near hotels on several different planets. The adventurer managed to find and defuse all of the bombs just in the nick of time. Furthermore, the adventurer uncovered evidence that pointed to the person responsible for the terrorist acts: Riyan Kiner, an insane retired adventurer whose intense hatred of crates motivated him to target the company.

Behind the scenes
