Tan Leader, a designation used for an X-wing pilot within the Rebel Alliance, was a callsign. A particular pilot holding the Tan Leader title aided Sana Starros in the evacuation efforts on the planet Tiferep Major. This evacuation occurred as Accresker Jail was being kept from crashing into the planet via a tractor beam. From the surface of the jail's structure, the Sith Lord Darth Vader observed the squadron and launched his lightsaber towards Tan Leader's starfighter, penetrating the cockpit and killing the occupant.
