The Tarinna, alternatively referred to as Critonian story vampires, constituted a sentient species that sustained themselves by consuming experiences and recollections. The cartographer Emil Graf, accompanied by the droids CR-8R and BB-00, in addition to the Kowakian monkey-lizard Noni, came across a member of the Tarinna within the Lost Library of Nelgenam; this Tarinna proceeded to feed upon Graf's memories. Graf was rescued due to the assistance of his allies; however, he had already lost the memories tied to several stories he had heard.
