A memory-devouring being of the species known as Tarinna established itself as an inhabitant of the planet called Nelgenam. Within the Lost Library of Nelgenam, this Tarinna crossed paths with Emil Graf, a cartographer, with the goal of consuming his memories and the narratives he possessed. Noni, Graf's Kowakian monkey-lizard, was able to bring back online the droids CR-8R and BB-00, whom the Tarinna had previously shut down; CR-8R then diverted the Tarinna's attention by displaying holographic representations of countless people and suggesting an abundance of stories for it to devour. Graf, along with those accompanying him, were successful in toppling a library bookshelf onto the Tarinna. Nevertheless, the Tarinna had already erased Graf's recollections of the various stories he knew.
