Tarlor Choh, a Muun of male gender and possessing a light complexion, was employed by Dalborg Mining. He had been with the company for a duration of five years leading up to the Battle of Yavin. In his role, Choh functioned as the foreman for the corporation in Zone Thirty-Nine, a specific sector on the moon Cynda dedicated to the extraction of Thorilide via mining. A notable event involved his decision to reassign Skelly, the demolitions expert, from the position of demolitions supervisor to that of a demolitions placement technician. This action significantly displeased Skelly, who held a low opinion of Choh's intelligence. The arrival of Count Denetrius Vidian, dispatched by the Galactic Empire with the objective of enhancing mining productivity on Cynda, prompted Choh to communicate this directive to the Dalborg workforce. Subsequently, he initiated efforts to encourage them to accelerate their work pace. The arrival of a quartet of stormtroopers to apprehend Skelly was met with Choh's willing cooperation. He guided them to Skelly and promptly terminated his employment. Skelly then succeeded in triggering a blast, facilitating his evasion from both Choh and the Imperial forces.
The initial appearance of Tarlor Choh occurred in A New Dawn, a work of literature penned by John Jackson Miller and made available to the public in 2014. The novel does not explicitly state Choh's species; Miller deliberately omitted this detail to emphasize the cosmopolitan nature of the Star Wars universe, portraying a setting where characters do not dwell on the species of others. Miller later clarified that Choh was a Muun in the production notes for A New Dawn, which he shared on his personal blog.
