When a teleportal was activated, everything within its operational radius would disappear in a burst of light. Although not immediate, the process happened swiftly. Materials moved via the teleportal would materialize at their intended location.
A concealed teleportal existed within the Keeper's Temple on The Keeper's World. This hidden teleportal was triggered by engaging a concealed switch within the temple's carved reliefs, transporting anyone in range to the subterranean caverns where The Keeper resided.
During the Battle of The Keeper's World, while being pursued by Imperial Stormtroopers, C-3PO inadvertently activated the teleportal inside the Keeper's Temple. Consequently, he, Princess Leia Organa, Luke Skywalker, and R2-D2 were transported to the caverns below, where they would ultimately encounter the Keeper. The pursuing Stormtroopers and their commander quickly located the teleportal and used it to continue their pursuit within the caverns.
