The Telos, a Valor-class cruiser, functioned as the flagship for the Galactic Republic's First Expeditionary Fleet within the Republic fleet throughout the Cold War.
During the raid on the Imperial compound located on Taral V, the Telos acted as the command ship for Jedi Master Oteg. Its mission was to acquire a Gree computer that could map a route through the Maelstrom Nebula. It provided assistance to the Republic strike team by eliminating Imperial bombers attempting to demolish the complex. Alongside the rest of the Expeditionary Fleet, the Telos executed a hyperspace jump to the clandestine Imperial prison to rescue Revan, a Jedi Master being held captive. During the ensuing battle against Imperial warships guarding the station, a tactical retreat ensured the ship's survival.
