A male Sith, residing on the planet Medriaas, which was an agriworld situated at the border of the Sith Empire, worked as a farmer on the northern continent. This individual served as the adoptive father to Tenebrae. Around 5113 BBY, he married a woman, a red-skinned Sith like himself, and believed that Tenebrae, the child she bore shortly after their marriage, was his own. However, in 5107 BBY, when Tenebrae began displaying signs of Force-sensitivity, the man was filled with fury, as neither he nor his wife possessed any connection to the Force. Upon confronting his wife, she admitted that Tenebrae was the product of an affair with Lord Dramath, the Sith ruler of their planet. In response, Tenebrae fed off of the man's rage and used telekinesis to break his adoptive father's neck when the man attacked his mother. The story of Tenebrae's father was later recounted by the Sith Lord Darth Nyriss to Scourge, her Sith colleague, over a millennium later, while she was detailing Tenebrae's past.
The character of Tenebrae's adoptive father was initially introduced in Chapter 15 of The Old Republic: Revan, a novel written by Drew Karpyshyn and published in 2011.
