The Fantastic Technology Contest, a competition co-sponsored by West End Games and the Role Playing Game Association, provided Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game players the opportunity to submit technological inventions; the best of these were later featured in Galladinium's Fantastic Technology.
Polyhedron 105, the RPGA's official publication for March of 1995, announced the contest results. From approximately seventy-five entries, almost fifty percent made it into the book. Michael Zebrowski secured first place with his Repulsor Grappling Gun. While three submissions by Sean P. Wolfe were recognized among the top twenty-five, they were ultimately excluded from publication due to missing paperwork required by West End Games.
