Thyr was a landmass situated to the north of Kato Zakar on the planet Tython. These two areas were divided by the expansive Thyrian Ocean.
The northern edge of Thyr was defined by the coast of the Thyrian Ocean. Moving away from the coast, the landscape transitioned into rocky plains that eventually gave way to the thick Stark Forests. Within these forests, the closely packed, skeletal trees had leathery sacs that held water, providing sustenance for both travelers and animals. Small streams flowed from the ocean towards the Silent Desert. This desert's sands possessed the unique ability to absorb all vibrations, effectively silencing any sound above the surface. The Silent Desert, punctuated by mesas and canyons containing cool caves, served as the final resting place for a Tho Yor in 36,453 BBY. A group of pilgrims established a community around it within a canyon distinguished by four curved rock spires reaching upwards. Over time, the Temple of Force Skills, Qigong Kesh, developed in the cool caves beneath the Tho Yor, becoming a significant pilgrimage site for the Je'daii Order. The quiet of the desert was absent in the caverns of Qigong Kesh, which resulted in Je'daii, after prolonged periods in the desert, to speak and mumble incessantly upon entering the Temple.
Thyr was a continent that boasted some of the planet's most impressive features and a diverse population. A major Cloud Chaser airfield was built on tall bluffs overlooking the Thyrian Ocean, from which large airships departed across the ocean to various locations.
