The TIE punisher, an enhanced iteration of the TIE bomber, improved upon the original design by incorporating shielding, an additional bomb chute, and three extra ordnance compartments, each fitted with a twin ion engine. It makes its debut in X-Wing™ as a formidable Imperial spacecraft within the TIE Punisher Expansion Pack. The expansion includes four ship cards and a substantial collection of nine explosive enhancements, allowing you to decimate your adversaries. Beyond its increased payload capacity compared to the TIE bomber, the TIE punisher encourages Imperial players to refine their bombing strategies. This is achieved through its inherent boost action and the capacity to equip a system upgrade, such as Advanced Sensors. With Advanced Sensors, the TIE punisher can quickly move into position to deploy a bomb directly in the path of an enemy fighter, and then immediately execute its maneuver to retreat.
