Having now witnessed the resurgence of the Sith Empire, Master Gnost-Dural has come to understand a renewed significance in Exar Kun's place in galactic history.
BTC 347 – Several decades prior to the commencement of the Mandalorian Wars, a promising Jedi Knight, known as Exar Kun, began his exploration into the secrets held by the Force. Ignoring the warnings issued by his Jedi Masters, Kun recklessly experimented with the dark energies of the ancient Sith. After an encounter with the spectral form of the deceased Sith Lord Freedon Nadd, Exar Kun seized the power residing within the Sith Temples located on Yavin 4 and initiated a campaign with the goal of destroying both the Republic and the Jedi Order. Forming an alliance with the Krath Cult, as well as the fallen Jedi Knight Ulic Qel-Droma, Exar Kun's military forces successfully destroyed the Jedi library situated on Ossus; however, this marked his final triumph before his betrayal and subsequent defeat. Centuries later, the Jedi have come to the realization that Exar Kun's rise to power occurred concurrently with the ancient Sith Empire's exile on Dromund Kaas. Jedi Master Gnost-Dural now questions whether Exar Kun's ascension was encouraged by the spirits of the ancient Sith, and if so, what implications does this have regarding their support (or lack thereof) for the Sith Emperor?
