Toile Senn

Toile Senn, a male Rodian who achieved the rank of Jedi Knight, was a member of the New Jedi Order. He served the Order in the period following the War with the invading Yuuzhan Vong. In the year 40 ABY, after the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances learned that the Corellian government was secretly and rebelliously constructing a fleet, Senn was among the Jedi dispatched on Operation Roundabout, a mission intended to bring Corellia back under control. He received assignment to Hardpoint Squadron, led by the Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker, and piloted an XJ6 X-wing within this unit composed exclusively of Jedi. While his squadron was in the process of extracting Jedi teams from Corellia who were participating in the operation, Hardpoint Squadron came under attack from a ground-based barrage designed to destroy starfighters. The snubfighter Senn was piloting sustained critical damage, which forced him to eject from the craft and into an explosion nearby, resulting in the Rodian's demise.

Biography

Toile Senn, a Jedi Knight in the New Jedi Order, was a male Rodian who served during the time following the War against the Yuuzhan Vong, an invasion that devastated the galaxy. In 40 ABY, the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances discovered that the Corellian government was secretly and rebelliously constructing a fleet. Consequently, Senn was dispatched as one of the Jedi on Operation Roundabout, a mission to bring Corellia into compliance. He was assigned to Hardpoint Squadron, designated "Team Womprat" for the operation, which was under the command of Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker. Senn piloted an XJ6 X-wing as part of this squadron composed solely of Jedi. As a component of Operation Roundabout, four additional Jedi teams had been deployed to the surface of Corellia and to Centerpoint Station, the system's ancient superweapon, with missions aimed at weakening the Corellian government.

When Galactic Alliance forces arrived in the Corellian system intending to intimidate the Corellians with a demonstration of firepower, Hardpoint Squadron escorted the shuttle Chandrila Skies to extract the Jedi operating on the planet. As Hardpoint Squadron approached the planet, they were confronted by eighteen Corellian starfighters, who moved to engage the Jedi. Unexpectedly, the Corellian fighters broke formation, and Hardpoint Squadron was bombarded by a ground-based anti-starfighter barrage. Senn and the other members of Hardpoint survived the initial attack, however, the Chandrila Skies was destroyed. Despite this loss, Skywalker instructed the squadron to proceed toward the planet to extract the Jedi, even without a shuttle. As the squadron continued through the barrage, Senn's snubfighter was torn apart by three near misses, forcing the Rodian to eject. At the highest point of his ejection, Senn vanished within the cloud of a nearby explosion. Skywalker, who was nearby, sensed the death of the Rodian, reducing Hardpoint's strength to nine. With little time to mourn Senn, Hardpoint Squadron continued their mission and successfully extracted the other Jedi teams. However, the Galactic Alliance did not fare as well, as Operation Roundabout devolved into a disaster that initiated the Second Galactic Civil War. Senn was among the first of many Jedi casualties in the conflict, which threatened to fracture the Galactic Alliance.
