Tokare Garrison existed as a military installation of the Galactic Republic situated on the planet Dantooine. It gained its designation to commemorate Vandar Tokare, a respected Jedi Master who held a position on the Dantooine Jedi Enclave Council; this base functioned as a crucial location for the replenishment of Republic starships that were actively engaged within the zone controlled by the reconstituted Sith Empire amidst the third war between the Republic and the Sith.
Throughout the Dantooine Incursion, Republic armed forces utilized the base as a central hub for conducting operations directed at both the Imperial troops and the Nova Blades.
