The Dantooine Jedi Enclave Council served as the Council responsible for the Jedi Enclave situated on Dantooine. This governing body was established to manage the training facility following the Great Sith War, after the death of the first overseer and founder of the Jedi academy, Jedi Master Vodo-Siosk Baas, who was slain by his former apprentice, Exar Kun.
This Council was a subordinate group of the Jedi High Council located on Coruscant; figures such as Vrook Lamar and Vandar Tokare simultaneously held positions on both councils during the times of the Mandalorian Wars and the Jedi Civil War. It was composed of four Jedi Masters and experienced various changes in its membership throughout its existence. Beyond Jedi training, its duties included overseeing the Enclave's operations and supervising other academy councils across the galaxy, such as the Tarisian Jedi Council which ran the Jedi Tower on Taris.
Many Jedi who received training under this Council later became significant historical figures, most notably Revan, a renowned Jedi Knight and hero of the Galactic Republic. Revan later became a Dark Lord of the Sith before his mind was altered, leading to his retraining as a Jedi to combat his own Sith Empire.
During the period of the Great Hunt, the Council consisted of Jedi Masters Vrook Lamar, Bala Nisi, Qual, and Aleco Stusea. When Jedi Shaela Nuur, Duron Qel-Droma, and Guun Han Saresh arrived at the Enclave, the Council had serious concerns about the Hunt. Lamar was hesitant to send a Qel-Droma near any location known for dark energy due to his cousin's fall to the dark side. Nisi argued that three Jedi were insufficient for such a critical mission, while Qual and Stusea believed they should trust the High Council's decision to send the trio.
By the time of the Mandalorian Wars, the Council's composition had changed somewhat, with Qual and Stusea replaced by Zhar Lestin, a respected Jedi instructor from Coruscant, and the wise Master Vandar Tokare. The Council attempted to collaborate with the nearby Jedi Council on Taris; however, following the Padawan Massacre, the Enclave Council recommended that the Taris Council be recalled to Coruscant.
As the Jedi Civil War erupted, Master Nisi was succeeded by Jedi historian Dorak. This Council oversaw the reconditioning of the amnesiac Darth Revan and trained him to defeat the remaining Sith forces. This marked the final formal Council of Dantooine, as Darth Malak destroyed the Enclave through orbital bombardment.
After the Civil War concluded, three surviving Jedi returned to Dantooine to deliver a final judgment on the Jedi Exile Meetra Surik. Masters Lamar, Zez-Kai Ell, and Kavar attempted to sever the Exile's connection to the Force, only to have the act turned against them by Darth Traya. Stripped of the Force, the last members of the Council perished, leading to the permanent dissolution of the esteemed body.
