"Too Many Cooks" is a tale presented in comic form within the fourth edition of the magazine Star Wars Comic UK, a comic released to the public on April 3, 2014. The characters featured in this narrative are Jar Jar Binks, Gregar Typho, and Palpatine.
Not long after the Separatist Alliance was formed, Kelsara Llenkch, accompanied by a band of hired guns, makes their way to the Grand Hall located on Coruscant. They were secretly employed by an unidentified individual with the mission to eliminate Chancellor Palpatine during a formal dinner arranged in preparation for the impending war.
Captain Typho is responsible for the overall safety of the event, marking his first time overseeing security for such a large gathering. He assigns his Security Advisor, Jar Jar Binks, the duty of inspecting the catering arrangements, after Jar Jar struggled with a security remote.
Subsequently, Llenkch's mercenaries overpower a group of caterers and take their uniforms as a disguise. Shortly after, Jar Jar arrives at the scene and inadvertently creates chaos in the kitchen. Fearing the consequences, he seeks refuge in a cabinet and overhears mercenaries Maash and Vela discussing their assassination plan. Jar Jar rushes back to alert Typho and accidentally pushes him out of the path of a sniper's bullet, saving his life. With Typho now unconscious, Jar Jar clumsily handles the Sentinel Droids remote, unintentionally incapacitating the mercenaries with the droids.
Following the ordeal, Chancellor Palpatine expresses his gratitude to Jar Jar in person, revealing that he was the one who suggested Jar Jar as Typho's Security Advisor. As a token of appreciation for his courage, Palpatine then offers Jar Jar the position of Junior Representative for Naboo within the Senate.
