Toonbuck Toora served as a Sy Myrthian senator for her homeworld of Sy Myrth in the Galactic Senate. As a female, she participated in the Senate's activities during the last years of the Galactic Republic. She attended the Senate session in the Senate Building on Coruscant with her aide, Ianad Cisma, when Queen Padmé Amidala from Naboo spoke to the Senate regarding the Trade Federation's invasion of her homeworld, seeking a resolution.
Toora, together with Senators Passel Argente and Orn Free Taa, was instrumental in the removal of Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum from office. This occurred after Amidala proposed a Vote of No Confidence. Later, Toora, like numerous other prominent senators, gave her support to the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the separatist nation headed by Dooku, the Count of Serenno. She was seen wearing a brown dress featuring sleeves that hung loosely.
