Transe Decar

During the reign of the Galactic Empire, Transe Decar served as a minister on the planet of Zaloriis. In the period between 2 ABY and 3 ABY, amidst the Galactic Civil War, Decar, along with the group known as the Zalorian Separatists, switched their allegiance from the Empire to the burgeoning Rebellion. Decar's refusal to remit Zaloriis's monthly tribute to the Empire drew the attention of the Sith Lord Darth Vader. Vader journeyed to Zaloriis to investigate, only to be ambushed by Decar, who declared his defection to the Rebellion and Zaloriis's independence. Vader, unfazed, employed the Force to strangle Decar.

Biography

Transe Decar, a Human Zalorian, held the position of minister on the planet of Zaloriis, situated in the Expansion Region's Zaloriis system, during the Galactic Empire's rule. During his time as minister, the Empire initiated a highly classified research initiative on Zaloriis, focusing on the development of the All Terrain Armored Transport, under the supervision of Colonel Maximilian Veers. Sometime between 2 ABY and the Battle of Hoth occurring in 3 ABY, amidst the Galactic Civil War between the Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic, Decar and the Zalorian Separatists secretly abandoned the Empire to join the Rebellion. Together, they wrested control of the Imperial forces on the planet, incarcerating a significant number of Imperial stormtroopers in prison and apprehending Colonel Veers. Furthermore, Decar intentionally neglected to pay Zaloriis's monthly tribute to the Empire.

This failure to pay tribute caught the attention of Darth Vader, the Sith Lord, who had been pursuing the Alliance Fleet following the destruction of the Empire's planet-destroying superweapon, the Death Star, at the Battle of Yavin. Realizing that the fleet's trail had gone cold after he defeated the Rebels on Reytha, Vader interpreted Decar's actions as a potential clue to the Rebel fleet's location and decided to personally visit Zaloriis to meet with him. Decar planned to capture Vader during this meeting by surrounding him and his escort with Zalor Militiamen.

Vader, arriving in a Lambda-class T-4a shuttle accompanied by eight stormtroopers, proceeded a short distance from the landing site to meet Decar. As Decar's six militiamen encircled the Imperial contingent, Decar announced Zaloriis's defection. Unfazed, Vader swiftly employed the Force to choke the minister to death. Subsequently, Vader interrogated one of Decar's soldiers regarding the location of the captured stormtroopers, leading to their rescue along with Veers. The Empire then proceeded to destroy the Rebel Alliance's uprising on Zaloriis, utilizing the All Terrain Armored Transports.

Personality and traits

Despite the All Terrain Armored Transport's development occurring on Zaloriis, Decar was not placed in command of the project, and the Empire suspected he was unaware of its existence. Decar demonstrated a willingness to betray the Empire, even luring Darth Vader into a trap with the intention of capturing him and declaring his planet's independence. The minister displayed confusion when Vader rejected his "request" and reportedly screamed as he succumbed to the Sith Lord's Force grip. Decar possessed brown hair, fair skin, and a mustache.

Equipment

When confronting Vader, Decar was armed with a blaster. He was clad in a purple cloak and a brown cap.
