The Zaloriis Separatists comprised humans originating from the planet of Zaloriis. This organization sought to break away from the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War, during which they engaged in combat against the Alliance to Restore the Republic. In the year 3 ABY, these separatists secretly formed an alliance with the Alliance, successfully capturing the majority of Imperial troops stationed on Zaloriis. Subsequently, Darth Vader, the Empire's second-in-command, journeyed to the planet in pursuit of the Alliance. His mission led him to Zaloriis to meet with Transe Decar, a Minister of Zaloriis and a leading figure within the separatist movement. Decar, accompanied by several soldiers, launched an ambush against Vader, proclaiming Zaloriis's secession, but was ultimately killed by the Sith Lord. Following this, Vader interrogated one of the soldiers to ascertain the location of the Imperial forces, proceeding to eliminate all of them. The Empire then liberated their captured stormtroopers and destroyed the Separatist central command in Zaloriis City, the planet's capital, thereby quashing their attempt at secession.
The Zaloriis Separatists were initially referenced within the strategy guide accompanying the 2001 Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds video game for the PC. They later appeared in the game itself and its 2002 expansion. Within the "An Empire's Fury" level, the player, controlling the Empire, is tasked with defeating these separatists.
