Yun'o

Yun'o (with Yun being the singular form), sometimes referred to as the True Gods, or Great Ones, represented the term utilized by the Yuuzhan Vong to describe their deities. The term Yun was also added as a prefix to each and every deity's name within the Yuuzhan Vong pantheon. Their physical forms, as portrayed through sculptures and paintings, varied in depiction depending on the specific domain. It was believed that these gods inhabited a plane that existed parallel to the physical universe, and that they also possessed corporeal forms.

The legends say that, during the Before-Time, Yun-Yuuzhan, the original creator, made a promise to the lesser gods: they could rise to his position, but only if they discovered beings who could replace them. The Yuuzhan Vong interpreted this to mean finding a race akin to themselves, which served as the rationale behind their drive for escalation.
