Tythonian Mastery Tokens were essentially small, disk-shaped medallions. These were presented to Jedi Knights upon their promotion to the esteemed rank of Jedi Master during the Jedi Order's formative period. Additionally, the Master who trained the newly appointed Jedi Master also received a token. Fashioned from raw barabbian material, these tokens featured inscriptions of Coremaic runes. At the Republic Fair held on Valo, a curated assortment of these tokens was exhibited within a display case. OrbaLin creatively employed The Force, transforming the tokens into projectiles. These projectiles successfully incapacitated several Nihil members who were in the process of stealing items from the Secrets of the Jedi exhibit located within the Starlight Pavilion.
The initial appearance of the Tythonian Mastery Token occurred in the 2021 novel titled The High Republic: The Rising Storm, authored by Cavan Scott. Within the Star Wars Legends storyline, a token serving a parallel function, known as the Jedi Credit, was initially referenced in the 1996 novel X-Wing: Rogue Squadron, penned by Michael A. Stackpole.
