The Ultragungan Militia, which is also referred to as the Ultra-Gungan Militia, was a Gungan paramilitary organization that was located on Naboo. The members of this group were known as Ultragungans.
During the Invasion of Naboo, the Ultragungan Militia engaged in combat against the Trade Federation's Droid Army. Following the conclusion of this conflict, they retained a significant quantity of battle droids, primarily B1-series battle droids, as war prizes.

Throughout the time of the Galactic Civil War, the Ultragungans conducted their operations from a network of camps situated in close proximity to the Gungan Sacred Place, as well as from a lair situated on an island within the Lasay Swamp. The Ultragungan Militia was actively in conflict with both the Naboo people and the broader Gungan society. Sometime after the Battle of Yavin which took place in 0 BBY, they pilfered an artifact from Boss Rugor Nass, fragmented it into six distinct pieces, and then dispersed these pieces across various regions of Naboo. These locations included the Darkwalker Cave, the Mummer bunker, the Hall of Moenia University, the Keren Bank, the Mauler Stronghold and the Skaak Tipper Hideout.
In 1 ABY, Boss Nass engaged the services of a spacer with the aim of retrieving the six fragments of the artifact. The spacer was successful in this endeavor, and in return, Nass provided assistance to the spacer in the recovery of an experimental Old Republic droid module, specifically a stochastic decision chip. This chip was housed within a super battle droid that was under the control of the Ultragungans. Boss Nass initially proposed investigating faulty Ultragungan battle droids to find clues on how to get around the security on Ultragungan droids. The spacer then engaged Ultragungan soldiers, discovering that the super battle droid's self-destruct mechanism could be disabled using a password. The spacer eventually located this password within an Ultragungan droidtech toolkit situated in the Ultragungan Droidtech Camp. Armed with this password, the spacer was finally able to infiltrate the Ultragungan Lair, destroy the super battle droid, and successfully recover the Old Republic droid module.
The Ultragungans made an appearance in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This game was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game that was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts, before it was shut down on December 15, 2011. The Ultragungans were incorporated into the game as a component of the "Legacy Quest" with the launch of "Publish 25," also known as the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.
