An insurgent opposed the Galactic Empire on the world of Bestine IV; this person was a member of an insurgent group supported by the Crimson Dawn criminal organization. The insurgent, along with two others, encountered T'onga's crew – the team of T'onga, a bounty hunter – on Bestine between 3 ABY and 4 ABY. T'onga's team had been hired by Crimson Dawn with the objective of intercepting a shipment of munitions destined for an Imperial naval base. When T'onga and her crew disembarked from their starship, the insurgent expressed disappointment at the limited support provided by Crimson Dawn; T'onga attempted to alleviate this concern by mentioning the presence of Bossk, a Trandoshan. As the Imperial transport vehicle carrying the munitions landed, the insurgents and T'onga's crew traveled towards it using speeder bikes.
Once on board the Imperial transport vehicle, T'onga and the insurgents proceeded toward the command center with the intention of disabling the vessel. On their way, they became engaged in combat with coastal defender stormtroopers. During this confrontation, one of the insurgent's fellow fighters was killed. Facing overwhelming odds, the insurgent urged T'onga to continue onward, which necessitated abandoning another insurgent. T'onga protested against leaving the other insurgent behind, but the insurgent explained to the mercenary that the other insurgent was aware of the risks and willing to give their life for the cause. The insurgent then asserted that reaching the command center and stopping the ship was paramount, as failure would result in the deaths of both their comrades and T'onga's allies. While advancing further inside, T'onga paused, questioning the reason for the darkened lights. The insurgent responded that there was no opportunity for speculation, adding that they could navigate sufficiently to reach a device. T'onga voiced her unease that something was amiss, and shortly thereafter, the insurgent was fatally shot by Beilert Valance, an officer of the Empire and a former acquaintance of T'onga.
