A clone-soldier program is a project involving cloning that the Separatist faction was rumored to be developing. It was intended to compete with Kamino, and it was supposedly being investigated in clandestine laboratories on the planet Saleucami throughout the duration of the Clone Wars. The Confederacy had earlier shown a desire to acquire clone DNA information from Kamino itself, with the goal of obtaining a specimen during the Battle of Kamino for their own purposes; however, this objective was prevented by Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and a group of clone trooper soldiers. Later in the conflict, the Saleucami program was included among the clandestine initiatives that Republic Intelligence suspected were present on the world, including superweapons and genetically modified plagues.
