A3L-N sentinel droid

The A3L-N sentinel droid represented a specific type of security droid. Even though it had been subject to a recall many decades ago, the Crimson Dawn crime organization utilized enhanced A3L-N sentinel droids, placing them in strengthened frameworks. Several of these droids were used to guard a prison sector located on the Crimson Dawn's fortress flagship, known as the Vermillion. During the auction held by Crimson Dawn for the carbonite-encased smuggler Han Solo on the Vermillion, the unconventional archaeologist Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra, along with the smuggler Sana Starros, crossed paths with one of these droids as they tried to investigate a prohibited section of the starship. The droid communicated that access was forbidden, subsequently subduing them and escorting them to a prison cell.
