The Vontorian treasure ship Graceful Promising, a wrecked vessel utilized as a treasure repository by the infamous pirate queen Maz Kanata, was tightly bound in orbit around this star since 10 BBY. Kanata documented the starship's precise location within her book, known as the Smuggler's Guide, creating a star_map for it.
Sometime between 0 ABY and 3 ABY, Han Solo, the smuggler and captain of the light freighter Millennium Falcon, obtained the Smuggler's Guide and embarked on a mission to recover the treasures located above the dark star, accompanied by his partner Chewbacca and a small group of Alliance Pathfinders commanded by Lieutenant Caluan Ematt. Solo noted in the book that the dark star's intense gravity made the mission exceptionally perilous. He included an image depicting the Graceful Promising positioned above the star, and boasted about his capability to handle the task, referencing his completion of the Kessel Run in under twelve parsecs aboard the Falcon. Ultimately, Solo's endeavor proved to be a success.
