The floating gunnery platform was utilized by the Galactic Empire throughout the conflict known as the Galactic Civil War. Records indicate a minimum of two of these platforms saw action in the Battle of Hoth.
These Imperial repulsorlift enabled gunnery platforms had the capacity to transport a squad of six stormtroopers.
These platforms were active during the period of the Galactic Civil War. Specifically, a pair of these vehicles participated in the Battle of Hoth, tasked with executing a flanking action aimed at Perimeter Outpost Delta. One was eliminated by Rebel Alliance fire, but the second successfully disembarked its team of snowtroopers. Following the fall of the outpost, it withdrew toward the main Imperial forces.
These floating gunnery platforms are featured in the canon novel Battlefront: Twilight Company, which was released in 2015 and authored by Alexander Freed.
