Following the Battle of Yavin, this individual, the Imperial garrison historian, held the rank of Imperial officer and was tasked with the maintenance of crucial records.
In the year 1 ABY, during the Empire Day celebrations, he was stationed in the city of Narmle found on the planet Rori. It was at this location that he encountered Imperial spacers, dispatched to assist him by an Imperial PR officer. The historian entrusted these spacers with a vital task: the retrieval of a historical disk essential for a report he was compiling. To obtain this disk, the Imperials were presented with a choice: either eliminate a number of Rebel adversaries, or arrange a meeting with a noble inside the Bestine tavern. Ultimately, they were successful in securing the disk.
Subsequently, the Imperial spacers were required to further the historian's mission by connecting with a commoner residing in Bela Vistal. This commoner directed the Imperials to rendezvous with another individual situated in Dee'ja Peak. After completing this task, the Imperials promptly returned to the historian, communicating the completion of their assignment. However, the mission was not yet concluded, as the historian instructed the Imperials to visit an Imperial data officer located at the Science Outpost on Dathomir.
This Imperial garrison historian, lacking a proper name, was featured as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts, before its termination on December 15, 2011. The Imperial garrison historian was integrated into the game with the introduction of "Publish 19," released on June 29, 2005. During the Empire Day live event in 2005, which ran from June 29 to July 11, he could be found in Narmle, playing a role in a quest called "Happy Empire Day!," which involved sending players on an important mission across the galaxy. After the live event concluded, the Imperial garrison historian did not reappear in the game, as the Empire Day event was halted until its comprehensive revision in 2008.
