An Imperial governor held dominion over the planet of Gerrard V, a world. Following the Battle of Yavin by a period exceeding six months, the governor devised a scheme to spirit away the wealth of Gerrard V, a planet with a significant population sympathetic to the Rebel Alliance, by loading it onto opulent yachts. However, the Alliance dispatched its premier flight teams, Rogue Squadron and Gold Squadron, who successfully disabled the yachts, thwarting the governor's craven scheme.
The Star Wars: Rogue Squadron video game, which came out on December 1, 1998, first made mention of the governor in 1998. While Star Wars Adventure Journal 3, a 1994 publication, names Dannal as Gerrard V's governor during a previous uprising, the game gives no indication that the two governors are the same person.
