This event occurred not long after the destruction of the world Alderaan. During the time that he was managing the food stand, a refugee from Alderaan called Anandra Milon came up to him inquiring about a delivery from Centax 3. He responded with a puzzled and patronizing expression, as he was unaware of the topic she mentioned, but in the end, he felt sympathy for her and provided her with a small portion of food.
The initial appearance of the elderly man was in "One Thousand Levels Down," a brief narrative penned by Alexander Freed. It was featured in Star Wars Insider 151 during the year 2014.
