This varactyl was readied by a handler for riding in a ceremonial Grand Hunt that took place in 40 BBY, an event that preceded the crowning of Pijal's Crown Princess, Fanry.

Following Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi's initial meeting with the creature, he endeavored to create a connection and subsequently rode it during the Grand Hunt. Prior to his departure from the world, he paid the varactyl another visit, expressing his sentiment that he would feel its absence. This varactyl was characterized by its scarlet plumage, a tail, and a height that exceeded that of many humans.
