The chief officer at Accresker Jail was occupied with thawing a Bor to aid the interrogation officer's unsuccessful efforts to get information from a prisoner known as Joystick Chevron; this occurred not long before the attack on a pirate station. Soon after, Captain-Inspector Magna Tolvan appeared and stepped in, expressing her desire to remove Chevron from the premises. The warden was skeptical of Tolvan's potential success where they had failed, but Tolvan explained that Chevron was needed for a separate inquiry. Following Tolvan's assurance that the girl would not be involved in their upcoming engagement, the warden guided Tolvan towards Chevron's location and instructed a lieutenant to escort her to Chevron's detention cell.
