This Republic soldier served under the command of Sergeant Nidaljo within the Special Tactical Unit of the Coruscant Security Force, a tactical squad whose main objective was to execute operations directed against the Black Sun criminal organization. When the unit received orders to assist a Jedi Knight in the recovery of the Republic scientist Eli Tarnis from the clutches of the syndicate, they established a secured zone surrounding Black Sun's headquarters as preparation for their impending raid.

Stationed on the planet of Coruscant, the soldier belonged to the CSF's Special Tactical Unit, a tactical squad led by Sergeant Nidaljo and tasked with combating the Black Sun criminal syndicate which was based on Coruscant. Around 3643 BBY, after the team had been operating within the gang's territory for several months, they were assigned the mission of helping a Jedi Knight in rescuing the Republic scientist Eli Tarnis.
As the unit was setting up a defensive perimeter around the headquarters of Black Sun, the criminals launched an assault using advanced weaponry. The attack resulted in the deaths of six unit members, and Officer Jorin sustained critical injuries along with four others, forcing the unit to retreat behind a hastily constructed defensive barrier. Shortly after the arrival of the Jedi Knight, Jorin succumbed to his wounds, but his sacrifice served to inspire Jedi, Nidaljo and the remaining members of the unit to persevere in the fight and ultimately defeat Black Sun's forces.
