A creature with shapeshifting abilities made its home in the jungles located on the planet of D'Qar.
When observed in its default form, this animal walked on four legs and was a little smaller than 0.67 meters in height, about the same size as the droid named BB-8. Its body exhibited a blue-green color, and the rear portion of its body was see-through, revealing glimpses of its internal anatomy. A small, coiled tail was present on its posterior. It possessed a lengthy tongue that could extend a considerable distance from its mouth, which contained multiple teeth.
This creature could curl itself into a spherical shape, which enabled it to roll away quickly. It demonstrated the capability of mimicking other forms, allowing it to transform into and operate as BB-8, or even inanimate things such as a stone or a piece of foliage. The creature was also observed to pant.
During 34 ABY, the Resistance droid BB-8 became disoriented and lost within the jungles of D'Qar, where it accidentally encountered this creature. Their initial meeting involved the creature licking the droid, followed by a display of its transformative powers. This demonstration deeply unsettled the BB unit and caused it to run away. The pair encountered each other again soon after, when they were both captured by a larger spider-like creature and ensnared within its suspended web. Subsequently, another member of the same species arrived to liberate both the creature and BB-8.
