Andraven (species)
Andravens were a species of sentient beings that possessed elephantine characteristics. These beings inhabited the icy planet of Andraven. Their skin tone was typically either gray or a light shade of blue. Examples of Andravens include Gumar, Jam, Varna, and Onderrs. They are categorized as a species with sentience and elephantine traits, originating from the planet Andraven and often displaying gray skin.
History
Sometime in the distant past, prior to 232 BBY, a community of Andravens established a settlement on the previously unoccupied planet Andraven. To thrive in the planet's challenging conditions, they worked together. Among their accomplishments were the use of heat stones, located near the roots of bramble-covered trees, the eating of snowfigs, and the crafting of flutes from kao reeds. These flutes were instrumental in enabling the planet's initial inhabitants to domesticate and form bonds with zaba wolves, which were naturally aggressive predators.
By the year 232 BBY, young Andravens participated in the Andraven Ancestors Circuit, a challenge where each child had one opportunity to gather three items of significance to the ancestors who first colonized the planet. These items included heat stones, snowfigs, and kao reeds, which the child was required to fashion into a flute. According to custom, they were permitted to enlist the assistance of their companions to finish the circuit.
