Valance Serth was a male Human who resided on Corellia during the time of the Galactic Civil War.
Corellia was the birthplace of Valance Serth. His father was a member of the Corellian Security Force. Following the Battle of Yavin, he became the owner of a protocol droid that went by the designation C-3TC.
In the year 1 ABY, Serth uncovered a scheme by the Black Sun criminal organization to exploit a severe Ourim Flu outbreak for financial gain. Black Sun intended to contaminate a significant shipment of medicinal spice, with the goal of addicting the ailing population to their substances. However, Black Sun soon discovered that Serth had exposed their plan. Shortly thereafter, Valance Serth was compelled to journey from Corellia to Naboo, where his droid, C-3TC, was awaiting him. Unable to locate Serth on Corellia, the criminals tracked C-3TC to the Nabooian city of Moenia. They interrogated the droid, who readily divulged all information about his master, including his planned travel from Corellia to Naboo. Black Sun swiftly established an ambush and launched an assault on Valance Serth's shuttle within Corellian space. Serth sustained injuries during a crash-landing in the wilderness of the planet Talus, but he survived. Black Sun's agents promptly pursued him across the planet.
Concurrently, on Naboo, C-3TC grew concerned due to his master's failure to arrive in Moenia. He eventually sought assistance from a group of spacers, who agreed to aid him in locating Serth. The spacers questioned Selan Ellison at the Moenia Starport on Naboo, and subsequently Amarent Loren of the Corellian Port Authority at the Tyrena Starport on Corellia. They ultimately determined that Valance Serth had crashed on Talus and resolved to search for him. Fortunately for Serth, the spacers discovered him at the same moment as Black Sun's agents, enabling them to eliminate the criminals. Valance Serth expressed his gratitude for the rescue but was worried that there was little time to prevent Black Sun's plan. Once more, the spacers agreed to assist. They attacked a Black Sun camp in Shadowbrak Ridge where the adulterated spice was being processed, but they were unable to prevent the vessel carrying the spice from taking off. The spacers rapidly launched into Corellian space and intercepted the Black Sun convoy. They engaged the criminal starships and successfully destroyed the transport and the spice. The triumphant spacers later returned to Serth, who requested one final favor: to erase C-3TC's memory to prevent the droid from providing any information that could jeopardize his master. The spacers then returned to Moenia, where the droid was still awaiting his master, and instructed him to execute a memory wipe program. C-3TC complied and eventually lost all memories of Valance Serth.
Valance Serth appeared as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game that was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, before it was shut down on December 15, 2011. Valance Serth was incorporated into the game with the release of "Publish 21," on August 4, 2005. During each server reset, Serth's appearance would change randomly, though he consistently appeared as a male Human.
