Vibro-machete

Vibro-machete, alternatively written as vibromachete, represented a specific category of machete. It ranked among the most prevalent vibro-enhanced blades available throughout the galaxy. Primarily conceived and marketed as a tool for agricultural purposes, each vibro-machete featured an extended, single-edged blade, resembling a cleaver, with a length ranging from 30 to 45 centimeters. The carefully considered weight distribution and balance of the blade, along with its extensive cutting edge, rendered it exceptionally well-suited for tasks such as clearing dense undergrowth in exotic alien forests and jungles, processing large game animals, and a multitude of other applications in wilderness environments. Furthermore, the vibro-machete proved to be a formidable weapon, with its substantial blade and integrated vibro field emitter capable of swiftly dispatching both unprotected adversaries and those equipped with minimal armor.

History

At some point leading up to 10 BBY, during the Imperial Era of the Galactic Empire, the Besalisk individual Dexter Jettster carried one such vibro-machete along on his journey to Athus Klee. His purpose was to delve into alleged illicit cybernetic modifications occurring there. Jettster employed the vibro-machete during a six day trek through the jungle, documenting in the book that would later be recognized as the Smuggler's Guide his satisfaction with having brought the device. The Knight of Ren, known as Ushar, was observed wearing a vibro-machete secured in a sheath across his chest.
